Why choose to commission a portrait?  I believe a portrait, particularly a classical oil portrait, will tell your story for the next 500 years — or more.

Why Choose to Commission a Portrait?

Nothing captures the essence of an individual as eloquently as a portrait, a tradition that pays tribute to those we hold in high esteem, whether famous or simply dear to us, or to celebrate an event or memory. A once in a lifetime experience, it will tell a story for the next 500 years - or more.

Guardians of the Everglades

"Congratulations. It occurred to me that what makes the guardian project unique is that these are really the Guardians' guardians. Selected by guardians themselves. Not by some politically correct committee. Insiders who have been there. There is a 'genuine' factor at work here that is unique. Proud to be part of it all."  - Ed Carlson, Director Emeritus of Audubon's Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary

The message is inescapable: the Everglades ecosystem is unique, necessary for our health and should be preserved.  The intent is to bring its beauty and importance to people all over the world through the lives of these Living Legends and the Power of their Leadership.

Central to the Guardians of the Everglades® exhibition are Nicholas Petrucci’s eleven 6 x 4 foot oil portraits of people dedicated to protecting the Everglades.
